Every Christmas season we like to make holiday treats to gift to our neighbors. Nothing says holiday like the flavors of chocolate and peppermint, and these decadent treats have become a favorite of our neighborhood. With a combination of vanilla, peppermint, and sea salt, this semi-sweet fudge is a crowd-pleaser, and makes a fantastic quick holiday party treat. Bet you can’t eat just one!

Ingredients

How to Make It

Line a 9 x 13 rectangular baking pan with aluminum foil, set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add evaporated milk and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.

Once boiling, lower heat to med/low and simmer 5-6 min, stirring frequently.

Remove from heat and add sea salt, vanilla, and peppermint extracts.

Add chocolate morsels and stir vigorously until melted and smooth.

Transfer mixture to foil-lined baking pan and smooth evenly using pastry palette knife or rubber spatula. Top with crushed peppermint candies or holiday sprinkles (optional).

Refrigerate for 2 hours, or until firm.

Cut into 1.5 inch squares. Enjoy!
